I will try my best to do this. It will take a bit for I will have to stop from time to time to clear my eyes. But I will share this with all of you. When I first started riding bikes, Jack Sides came along and helped me more than he will ever know. But in addition to him came Tony.

We met in Tennessee. He and Judy. "Tones" was her pet name for him. It was decided we would all ride to Huntsville together. Along the way there came a need for someone to lead. Tony asked me to lead and he would ride drag. I hardly knew what a Road Captain was then. But he got in the back and I got in the front and off we went. It was a special day for me. As I look back, that day was one of the best I have had riding motorcycles. I became a "Winger" that day.

We became friends during that trip. He and Judy. Swaggie, JJ, BJ, HJ, Harry and others.

I have since seen him many times. We talked often about life, love, motorcycles. Other things.
Some of you know there was a bond between he and I that transcended anything he could do or say. He always gave more than he took from life.

Thanks Jack for this forum. I know it won't be the last. But can we wait a while for the next one?

Some of you know I am a pilot. I very sadly with a great deal of emotion I will do what we do for a fellow pilot with his passing. Next Tuesday at 1500 hrs California time face the West, raise a glass and say. "This is for you sir. This is for another that has Gone West." Godspeed...

JR...and BlackCAT 13.....RATS!!!!!!
