My heart goes out to Tony's family. Regardless of the circumstances, loss is difficult. The loss for us, his friends is great, however, not the same as for the family, I'm sure. I know there are no magic words at a time like this, but I just wanted to say I care. I have suffered my share of losses, and know support from others helps a lot, but only time makes a difference. It takes time and support to come to terms with any loss. Even though our sorrow cannot change things, it is a process we must experience [a road we must travel] to more, or less, recover from this tragedy. It is sad that Tony is gone, but it was a choice he made, and nothing we do, or say, can change it. I met Tony at WOTI gatherings and read his posts on Wings Digest and will remember him as a laughing, happy, humorous guy. Let's think of the positive things we all remember about our friend and again, my condolences to his family and friends.
With deepest sympathy,
p.s. Thank you Jack, for making this opportunity for us to pay tribute to Tony's passing.
